How many buttons logitech g9x

Most gaming mice follow a similar style concept and what I like especially about the G9x is that it breaks out of this concept giving a fresh new approach to the peripheral mouse genre. The thing that stands out about the G9x is the sheer amount of features included with this mouse. In total we have 7 full customizable buttons that allow the user to perform everyday operations as well as be at the top of their game. The DPI on the G9x can be managed between , giving a great deal of flexibility for the type of gamer you are.

Precise scrolling is ideal for gaming sessions were you need to switch through weapons in your inventory whilst the hyper scrolling mode is suited to website navigation, especially useful if the page you are viewing is rather long to scroll up and down.

The macro manager is well thought out and on par with competing solutions. While the G9x is definitely a competent player, we feel purely as a function of its age that there are now better options available to the hardcore gamer.

Craig Simms. Pricing Not Available. The Good Swap-in grips. Good software. Button placement isn't great. Weight system is fiddly. The Precision grip is compact, nearly symmetrical, and has a smooth finish for fingertip control.

The free-spin mode allows the scroll wheel to retract from a ratchet mechanism to become a flywheel, capable of spinning for up to 7 seconds with a single flick of the finger, scrolling through virtually thousands of spreadsheet rows or hundreds of word-processing pages.

Gamers can switch between modes by pressing the MicroGear button underneath the mouse. In addition to these modes, the scroll wheel can be clicked over to the right or left for horizontal scrolling. In terms of ergonomics, the thumb cradles for both grips are comfortable, with forward and back web-browsing buttons conveniently located on the upper crests. There's no such cradle for pinkies, though, so expect a slight pinkie drag during use. In between the right and left mouse-click buttons is a somewhat demure scroll wheel that doesn't stand out as prominently as that of the Corsair Vengeance M The G9X's underside sports two smooth feet that allow it to glide over most surfaces.

In addition to a button that selects different user profiles stored on the G9X's on-board memory, the bottom also features a "MicroGear" button that toggles between two different modes on the tracking wheel: "Ratchet" mode yields the click-to-click tactile sensation typical in scroll wheels, whereas "Hyper-Fast" mode results in a frictionless scroll that comes in handy for gliding through long documents.

Despite the inevitable cable clutter, wired mice offer a higher degree of precision that has yet to be guaranteed by their wireless counterparts. That said, gamers looking for the fastest available connection for their mice should stick with the USB 3.

The included Logitech SetPoint software allows the user to create and store up to five different profiles on the G9X's on-board memory. Consequently, the mouse can be configured via software and then selected with the G9X's built-in profile selection button. This is helpful for switching between different profiles on the fly at, say, a LAN party or gaming tournaments. Profiles allow for multiple configurations regarding button assignments, keyboard macros, DPI settings, and LED display colors.
